Description
Annotation translation: "The palace is 81.60.m wide and 150 m. long. The palace is, like the church, made of the ribs of the leaves of the raphia palm and swish. The Basel Mission Church was built by 1000 natives in one day. In the foreground a fetish drum." - "Vollbehr Art Postcard, Cameroon."
Annotation: "Der Palast ist 81,60m breit und 150m lang. Derselbe ist, wie auch die Kirche, aus den Blattrippen der Raphiapalmen und ungebranntem Lehm erbaut. Die Basler Missionskirche ist von 1000 Eingeborenen an einem Tage erbaut worden. Im Vordergrunde liegt eine Götzentrommel." - "Vollbehr-Künstlerpostkarten 'Kamerun'."
