Photograph caption date stamped September 18, 1957 reads, "Canoga Park American Legion Junior baseball team won the 20th district championship this year and was honored last night for that feat. An awards dinner was held at the San Fernando Valley Country Club and it really went big league when Chuck Dressen, former major loop manager and now assistant to the president of the Washington Senators, paid personal honor to the young athletes. From left are Dressen, Wes Parker, first base; Gary Bowler, pitcher; Butch Rickards, outfielder; Dick Young, catcher, and Pinky Briggs, manager."
