Photograph caption dated May 27, 1959 reads, "Students and instructors check funtion [sic] of military rifles and parts at school display. From left, Cadet Mike Chinnici reaches for shell as Maj. Mike O. Blankenship explains rifle to Cadet Henry Worthington. Graduating top school shooter, Cadet Col. Roland Lyons listens to Marine Maj. Louis R. Largey. Largey has a disassembled .30 caliber M1 in his hands. Scholastic as well as military sciences are developed in the young students."
