Photograph caption dated April 6, 1963 reads, "Larry Anguino, 5, was one of hundreds of Valley residents who jammed a Panorama City store in the first two days of a sale of baby chicks at 6-for-5c rate. A spokesman for Montgomery Ward said the store sold 30,000 chicks by Friday night in the sale that began Thursday. The sale of chicks will continue until 100,000 are sold, but Larry, a resident of Pacoima, doesn't care about that. Of all the thousands of chicks, he's found the best one - the one his mother bought for him."
