"Matten flechtende Heidinnen" ("Heathen women braiding mats"). Two women are sitting outside, aground. Their upper part of their body is uncovered
they are wearing light-coloured headdresses, necklaces, and adornments (bangles). They are braiding mats. On the right side, some wattled baskets lying and standing in the grass. On the left side in the back, two children are standing, wrapped in dark draperies and holding sticks in their hands.
