Description
Footage of an Imperial Court de San Diego event with Emperor Carlos Silva and Empress Tiffany Daniels. The international Court System was founded in 1965 by WWII veteran and gay rights activist Jose Sarria. The first chapter was established in San Francisco and has since expanded to 68 cities in the US, Mexico, and Canada. The Imperial Court (possibly the world's largest LGBT organization) is a charity organization that runs numerous fundraisers and letter writing campaigns. The San Diego chapter has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars in the past three decades, and has been heavily involved in the development of other local LGBT organizations.
