Description
Astronomer Nicholas Mayall, of the Lick Observatory, writes to EPH, hoping to get a better opportunity to photograph "your nova." He lets EPH know that he is free to use magnitudes for the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, or for any other reason. He also things the plate of NGC 2419 is good, but is disappointed with the quality of the others. He thinks it is too early to write about the cluster types, believing more data needs to be gathered. He also explains that part of the credit for the nebular spectrograph description should go to William Wright.
