Dressed in heels but with a stained smock, a sculptress explains a work, a nude emerging from marble executed by Salvatore Cartaino Scarpitta, to a seated patron at the 1926 Sculpture Exhibition at the L.A. Chamber of Commerce. The exhibition was under the auspices of the Sculptors' Guild of Southern California and promoted Southern California sculptors availability to L.A. architects. Large Art Deco rugs drape the platform and hang behind the statue. Photo dated: 1926.
