Description: The hearing room on the fifth floor of the Federal Building, where the House Committee on Un-American Activities is conducting its investigation of Communist activites in Southern California, was packed with many spectators. There wasn't an empty seat in this section of the room. Scores of persons who were unable to get in the room, stood in the corridor outside the hearing room. Photo dated: March 24, 1953.
