Title supplied by cataloger. Tamarisk Country Club made its debut in 1952 with an 18-hole golf course designed by PGA Champ Ben Hogan. Some of the founding members of the club were Frank Sinatra, Jack Benny, George Burns, Danny Kaye, and the Marx Brothers. Aerial view of the northern section of Rancho Mirage; view is looking south. Highway 111 crosses the bottom right corner; Tamarisk Country Club and Golf Course is visible at center, on the eastern side of Frank Sinatra Drive; Da Vall Drive is the cross street visible on the left. Although several lush orchards and other patchwork plots are visible throughout, the area still appears to be very arid. Photograph dated November 17, 1956.
