Leading orators of various high schools in Los Angeles will compete in The Evening Herald's annual extemporaneous oratorical contest and will be given sub-topics of subjects to discuss with only five minutes of preparation. The winner will receive The Evening Herald individual cup (pictured) and the school will take possession of the larger perpetual trophy. Photograph dated December 5, 1936.
