Description
Annotation translation: "(General Fam Schak sang) has been continuously victorious, also in the battles on the North River. Behind, the buildings of the still not completed market of Tschongmuktheu. The owner of the tower and the business property behind it has given 1,000 Dollars for building a house for Europeans. The other merchants have given 525 dollars. We expect further gifts, since because of the situation currently prevailing most of the shops are closed. (See Quarterly Reports 1 & 2 1923 from Ruff.)"
Qu.Ber.I & II 1923 v. Ruff)."
Note translation: I assume that the reference to donations in the annotations concerns Basel Mission plans (PJ 19/98).
