Photograph caption dated May 24, 1978 reads, "Water gushes from a fire hydrant knocked down by the car of Kinnard Johnson, 21, of Los Angeles, after, according to witnesses, he ran a red light at First Street and Vermont Avenue and broadsided a car driven by Leonard Lindberg, 57, of Glendale. Lindberg died several hours later. Johnson was booked on manslaughter charges."
