Description
Photograph of the control tower at Mather Air Force Base. The tower is Mather AFB’s old air control tower, demolished and replaced in 1983. During President Lyndon Johnson’s visit to Mather AFB that year the control tower acted as a watchtower to deter would-be attackers. Published on September 29, 1964.
