Description
Photograph of two people standing in an Imperial Valley date orchard, ca.1910. Many date palms are seen planted in neat rows. The trees are spaced fairly far apart, and large bunches of dates are visible beneath their fronds. A man in long pants and suspenders and a woman in a long dress and a hat are standing in the shade at left. The orchard is bordered by a low wire fence, visible in the distance at right, and an open field lies just beyond the fence.
