Description
Photograph of the President Apartments building near the Ingraham Manor, Los Angeles, ca.1928-1929. The six-story brick apartment building can be seen on a street corner at center. The bottom floor is light-colored, while the upper walls of the building are darker. Rows of rectangular windows are visible on all stories. The Ingraham Manor is visible in the background at left, while houses can be seen at right. Automobiles are parked along the curb in front of the apartment building. The building is still there, with a slightly altered facade, at 669 South Union Avenue. At the time it was built (late 1928) it stood on the corner of Union Avenue and Ingraham, but Ingraham no longer goes through to Union (July 2014).
