Description
A woman and two men have a conversation while standing in front of a large neoclassical structure. The two gentlemen are arm in arm. The woman wears a dark blue riding habit with a white collared blouse with a red cravat. The jacket has moderate bell sleeves, narrow lapels, a fitted waist, and the jacket skirt is hip length, and open below the waist. Her hair is pinned up under her shallow-brimmed black hat, which is trimmed with black feathers and a bow. The man in the center wears more formal clothing; slim black trousers, a white pleated shirt, white floral-patterned waistcoat with pocket-watch, a white cravat, and a black tailcoat. His wears black and white striped stockings and heeled black leather shoes with tiny bows. He wears yellow gloves and carries a black top hat. A gray coat is slung over his arm. He wears a small mustache and his sideburns are in the "mutton-chop" style. The man on the right wears white trousers and a white, pleated shirt with a stiff collar tied with a light blue cravat. His double-breasted waistcoat is a large blue, black, and gray plaid. Over this he wears a loose-fitting double-breasted gray frock coat with notched lapels. He carries a white handkerchief in his breast pocket. He wears a tall gray top hat, tan gloves, black shoes with white spats, and carries a slim and elegant cane. He has mutton-chop sideburns.
