Flames are shown sweeping through a building at Roosevelt High School. The spectacular, fast moving blaze, broke out early in the roof above the third floor, destroying three classrooms and damaging five others. Despite the first damage, classes went on. No school records were destroyed. Photo dated: January 25, 1949.
