Kashnor notes, "The western coast terminates with California, which appears as an island. There are many interesting notes, and a curious engraving depicting a cannibal feast, the body of the victim being roasted piecemeal on a sort of gridiron. Like all Aa's maps, this is a brilliant example of cartographical engraving." Kashnor dates as [1714]. McLaughlin dates as 1713 and gives publication information. RLIN dates as 1714.
