Photograph shows the McCloud depot. The McCloud Depot was new and the occasion was festive when the Shelvin Pine Special pulled into the stub end of the depot track to pose for photographs......The complete Special was 57 loads, only a part of that shows here. Reason for the goat mascot is not clear, but identification with the Great Northern trademark is likely. , Robert M. Hanft, Pine Across the Mountain, pp. 192-193.
