Photograph caption dated October 22, 1962 reads, "Ben Miller, right, manager of Fantastic Fair Discount Department Store, which opens Thursday in Pacoima, is given a hearty welcome from Phil Berle, director of store operations of Fantastic Fair Stores, Inc. The discount center, which will include a complete supermarket, will feature a wide variety of merchandise, Miller said. The Valley store is the third of a group to be opened by the fast-growing Fantastic Fair owners. Other stores are now in operation in Los Angeles and Las Vegas."
