Description
Photograph of the ruins of the Ghiradelli chocolate company in Hornitos, ca.1930. A pile of dirt now stands with discolored, incomplete brick walls around it. A tree drapes over a destroyed wall on the left with what appears to be a damaged pole standing in front. A standing structure can be seen in the background on the left. Picture file card reads "Ruins of the Ghiradelli chocolate company marked with a bronze tablet: 'In 1852, D. Ghiradelli and Company operated this store, now owned by the D. Ghiradelli Chocolate and Cocoa since 1862'".
