Results of tests given to all fifth and eighth grade children last October as part of the new state-wide testing program show: Burbank fifth graders are reading better than the average sixth grader nationally. The district's eighth graders are reading better than the average ninth grader nationally. The tests also showed students rank substantially above the national average in the areas of arithmetic reasoning and fundamentals and language mechanics and spelling." Pictured are Burbank students, Robert Mann and Judy Adams, both 10-years-old.
