People on bicycles, horse-drawn carriages and two streetcars make their way along the street, lined to either side by Victorian-style high rise shop buildings. "Slavin Building." is printed on the side of a tall building in the left foreground, while a building with a spired dome can be seen in the right distance. Other legible signs include: "Slavin Block", "Chas. H. Ward Druggist", "Hardware and Stoves", "The Model Grocery Company", "Telegraph Office", and "Delicious Refreshing Coca-Cola".
