Description
Photograph of an exterior view of the Friends Church in Whittier, ca.1900. The modest-looking church is pictured at center across the road shown in the foreground, in which railcar tracks can be seen. Several trees stand just in front of the three-story church, obscuring much of its lower two levels, but allowing the bell tower situated over the main entrance to be seen in its entirety. Clapboard siding covers much of the building, save for its brick foundation. Two riders can be seen parked out in front in a horse-drawn carriage. More trees are visible in the background.
