Description: Photo shows the beginning of construction work to extend the Hollywood Freeway across San Fernando Valley. Here, a drain is being relocated preparatory to construction of two bridges, one over Vineland Avenue and one over the Los Angeles River. Drain work will be finished in December. Photo dated: March 9, 1956.
