Located at 540 South Broadway, the Mercantile Arcade Building (AKA Broadway-Spring Arcade, Spring Arcade, Broadway Arcade) was designed by architect Kenneth MacDonald in 1924 and consists of two twelve-story towers which connect Broadway to Spring Street by a three-story shopping arcade. This Spanish Renaisance and Beaux Arts building is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Display windows of Butts' Candy Shop inside the Arcade Building.
