He is visible wearing a dark jacket, white shirt and has a black bowtie. His dark, medium length hair curls around his ears and is parted on the right. He has long sideburns and a wide, round face. Photoprint reads: "Santiago E. Auguello of San Juan Capistrano -- when it was called by his name in 1841".
