Photograph caption dated December 28, 1953 reads, "Jeanie Girlie, Pekinese [sic] pet of Mr. and Mrs. V. D. Allen, 5162 Etiwanda Ave., Tarzana, comes up with a lucky seven...seven pups in one litter whereas the usual number for Pekes is four and quite often only one. The father? He's Sonny II from Lions Lair Kennels in Coldwater Canyon."
