Description
Photograph of the exterior view of the Rafael Bayse Adobe (built 1869, destroyed 1937) in Montebello, 1920. The adobe was built on the property of Walter P. Temple. The single story adobe features a roof that extends beyond the house to create a covered walkway underneath. Several windows and a doorway can be seen under the protection of the extended roof. In the foreground are cactus, a palm tree and a chicken-wire fence extend across the property. Utility structures are visible in the background.
