The Ramona Freeway was the earlier name for Interstate 10 and went from downtown Los Angeles to the San Bernardino County line.
Construction of the Ramona Freeway at Macy St. Bridge consists of a sunken road bed lined with concrete walls. Lumber is piled at the foot of the wall and rains left large puddles on the road bed. Photograph dated: Feb. 2, 1943.
