A geyser of hot mud, oil and flame shoots 300 feet into the sky as one of two blown-out oil wells on the Inglewood Country Club continued to erupt uncontrolled. First blasts rocked the area, and wells have been roaring since. Heat was so intense that one well tower melted and collapsed (arrow). Photo dated: December 31, 1952.
