Description
"Construction of radio set magnetic control mechanism was started Jan. 6, 1937 and completed Jan 14, 1937. Set was operated with original clock from Jan. 14 all thru spring of 1937. New clock as shown in this photograph was started March 3, 1937 and completed June 11, 1937. Set was operated with new clock and push button unit as shown in photographs from June 11, 1937 onward. Among those witnessing operation were Winifred Elliott, June 11, 1937; Thomas D. Ross, June 26, 1937, Harry J. Rathbun same evening; Frederick E. Terman, July 2, 1937, Marjory Grant and Olga Sherman, about June 15;... This photograph taken June 26, 1937, while Mr. Wentworth tuned piano and witnessed operation of set. Print made June 30. This note made by H. E. July 2, 1937." This handwritten note, as well as signatures of witnesses, including F. E. Terman, are on the back of the photo.
