Photograph caption dated November 1, 1959 reads "President Ben L. O'Brien of Pacoima Memorial Lutheran Hospital board hands documents for hospital cornerstone to the Rev. John G. Simmons, president of San Fernando Valley Lutheran Hospital Associates in ceremonies at site of new hospital at intersection of Eldridge avenue and Terra Bella street. Officials, from left, are O'Brien, Rev. Simmons, Supervisor Warren Dorn, the Rev. Call W. Segerhammar, of Sherman Oaks, and William E. McCann, executive assistant to Mayor Norris Poulson. Bible and official papers were put into stone which was placed in wall."
