The "Bowl" officially opened on July 11, 1922 on the site of a natural amphitheater formerly known as the Daisy Dell. It has undergone several upgrades to improve seating as well as acoustics. Today, this magnificent open-aired amphitheater has a seating capacity of 17,376 and is the home of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, as well as the summer home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
