Description
A press photo, marriage oath ceremony of Chief Lone Bear and Julia Wolf Moccasin, Los Angeles, 1923 May 29. The two depicted at middle and left are part of the Arapahoe tribe in Wyoming. They are both dressed in traditional American Indian attire and have their left hands raised as Emma Higgins, the woman on the right, administers the marriage license oath as deputy clerk. The photograph is in fair condition, minor loss, delaminating and surface soiling.
