A print of this image appears in the Huntington Library's Verne Dyson Collection (mssHM 26404) p. 269 (Box 4) under the heading "Rancho Santa Ana" and has the caption: "Peralta on the Santa Ana River at Yorba." Ramon Peralta built an adobe home in 1871 on Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana that was later inhabited by Pablo Dominguez and Felipa Yorba after 1881. The Peralta family lived in the upper part of Santa Ana Canyon in present day Yorba Linda, California.
