Warsaw: Visiting the ruins of the Warsaw Ghetto, U.S. Vice-President Richard Nixon (right, foreground) peers into the prison dungeon, August 4th. During the Nazi occupation, 70,000 Jews were exterminated at the Ghetto and another 600,000 were hauled off to their deaths. Nixon made a moving speech after touring the site.
