Description
A train, with locomotive and one open passenger car at the water tank at Mesa Station, about half way up Mt. Tamalpais. Written on back of photograph: "Train at water tank Mesa Station Double Bow Knot half way up mountain. Pipes sticking out of smokestack were 'feedwater heater' experiment by superintendent Bill Thomas. Not successful so idea was dropped."
