Description
Title supplied by cataloger.
Photographer's caption reads, "Eight-month-old baby Elaine was perhaps the central attraction at the annual Easter picnic and block party held by the residents of Laurel Avenue. Comments gravitated toward the theme of perfection. One guest said she was "the perfect baby." Another called her "the perfect anglo vanilla baby." A third commented that her parents had been "perfectly matched to produce the perfect baby." Baby Elaine did seem extraordinary - placid, self-possessed, and much, much less moist than the average baby."
