Description
Three men converse at the top of a flight of outdoor stairs. The man on the left wears slim-fitting blue and gray Tattersall plaid trousers and a white pleated shirt. He wears a white waistcoat and a dark green double-breasted tail coat with notched lapels. He wears a black cravat tied into a bow, gray gloves, and a top hat. The spurs on his black heeled boots and his riding crop show that he will be riding. His hair is curled at the sides and he wears long sideburns. The man in the center wears powder blue trousers, a white pleated shirt, a black and rose Tattersall plaid waistcoat, and a cream colored jacket. He wears multicolored striped stockings and low black shoes with small bows. His cravat is striped in blue and white, and he wears gray gloves and carries a low crowned gray hat. His hair is short and curled, and is parted on the side. He is clean-shaven. The third gentleman wears tan trousers with fine brown lines in a very large Tattersall plaid pattern, and a white pleated shirt with a white waistcoat. He wears a loose-fitting black town coat with a red and light blue striped handkerchief in the breast pocket. His striped cravat matches the handkerchief. He wears gray gloves and a tall top hat, and carries a slim and elegant cane. His hair curls over his ears and he wears a mustache, but no sideburns. Behind the trio is a white balustrade, a large urn, and green trees, suggesting a park or elegant estate.
