Photograph of the interior of the boiler room in Plant #3 at the Long Beach Steam Station, ca.1925. The large room is supported by thick metal girders riveted together. There is a tile floor and several consoles contain gauges. The boilers and their pipes can be seen on both sides of the room. Two men can be seen standing on the floor and looking at the readings on the gauges. The plant was operated by Southern California Edison Company.
