Photograph was edited for publication purposes.
Photograph caption dated March 10, 1953 reads "Roaring flames swept through the Max Factor warehouse at 1140 North Citrus Avenue during a spectacular fire which destroyed the structure early today. The blaze destroyed large quantities of raw materials used in the manufacture of cosmetics. Fire was believed set by an arsonist." Firemen can be seen with a water hose trying to contain the fire at the Hollywood location.
