Nelson Ackerman Eddy appeared in 19 musical films during the 1930s and 1940s. During his vast career, the classically trained baritone had many accomplishments: He earned 3 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, one each for Motion Picture (6311 Hollywood Blvd), Radio (6512 Hollywood Blvd), and Recording (1639 Vine St); left his footprints in wet cement at the famed Grauman's Chinese Theater; earned three Gold Records; and was invited to sing at the third inauguration of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. While performing at the Sans Souci Hotel in Florida, he was stricken with a cerebral hemorrhage onstage and died a few hours later in the early hours of March 6th. Nelson Eddy is buried at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
