Conlee, who was elected president of the National Shorthand Reporters Association last week at the national convention in Seattle. Conlee, who is the dean of the local courthouse reporters from the standpoint of continuous service, is the first Californian to be honored with the presidency since 1911. He returned to his position in the court of Superior Judge Charles D. Ballard.
