Description
Photograph shows a man and a woman holding ears of corn posing indoors with a display of corn stalks wrapped around a column.
The National Grange of the Order of Patrons of Husbandry was founded in 1867 as an fraternal organization of farmers. The organization's goals are to promote the economic and political interests of America's farmers. From 1871-1873, several local, subordinate Granges were created in California. These local groups founded the California State Grange, which was established in Napa on July 15, 1873.
