Description
Pictured on Sept. 24, 1936, is the Crane Company Plumbing Supplies warehouse at Front and M streets. The four-story brick and concrete structure was built between 1921 and 1924 for $150,000. When the facility opened in April 1924, it covered 150 feet on Front Street and 81 feet on M Street. The general public was invited to “Welcome Week” which, lasting from April 14 to 19, was designed to allow potential customers to view warehouse departments.
