Photograph of a view of the altar inside the Kong Chew Temple in Los Angeles's old Chinatown, November 1933. The large altar can be seen at center and is ornately decorated with gold etchings. A large lamp can be seen next to the altar at left, while a table is visible in front of it. Several Chinese characters appear on the back of the altar. At left, a small wooden chair with a carved back is visible.
