Description
In this 1926 photograph New York City sculptor Edward Field Sanford, Jr., analyzes his work on the female Californian within the pediment of the State Library and Courts Building. The materials and labor for both Capitol Extension pediments and four additional granite sculptures, each representing a type of wealth, cost the State 100,000 dollars.
