Photograph article dated November 24, 1949 partially reads, "Benton Scott of North Hollywood, about whose canvases art critics have written 'excellent painting,' 'wonderful painting,' 'his work is both sumptuous and restrained,' and 'un grand peintre,' has just returned from France with a collection the majority of which were painted in Paris. These and other paintings are now on display at the Francis Taylor Galleries in the Beverly Hills Hotel, where the artist will play host to art lovers daily until Dec. 31." Mr. Scott has maintained a home at 1130 Valley Spring Lane, North Hollywood, since 1937.
